19 April 08 East American Survival Training held it's Spring meeting ... weather was as good as it gets for the season 60's and sunny ... we had 6
members in attendence ... Tueller Drill which is a practice / training that police use, at 21 ft. an attacker with a knife attacks, the defender must draw and fire before the attacker can inflict a wound ... we used rubber training knives and cleared airsoft pistols ... all defenders took between 2 - 3 sec. with an ave. of 2.6 sec. and each time the defender was able to fire before the attacker got there, but the attacker may have had enough momentum to still inflict wound in many cases ... some other tactics were tried ...and there was some improptu knife sparring ...break for lunch and ussual talk of circumstances around the world... after lunch some members hit the range for a bit of target practice ... over all a real good day !
